I believe that in order to get better at something, you have to practice. Pretty simple right? Well, it doesn’t always pan out that way. You see there is a difference between deliberate practice and slack practice. Some signs that you might be slacking during practice:

  1. You notice your mind wandering to other activities.
  2. You aren’t actively engaged in what you are doing.
  3. You seem to have plateaued.

In order to rectify this, I recommend NOT practicing. Counter-intuitive right? WRONG!

You see, in meditation, we develop the awareness to see what’s really going on. To notice where our attention has shifted. Because where our awareness goes, our energy flows. Enjoy this Springtime meditation:
